Some senators in SGA have proposed that we look at the idea of UNA going smoke free! This idea is one that other universities have considered. Senate needs the input of students, faculty, and staff on this policy.
The proposition is to make the university totally smoke free. This could possibly include residence halls. There is also talk of making this campus totally tobacco free.
What do you think about UNA going smoke free? Tobacco free? The senators all have petitions for the measure if you would like to sign. If you are against UNA going smoke or tobacco free, tell us why! If students do not want this, we do not want this policy to change. However, if there is great student support, we should be considering this because it would be in the interest of our peers. Please give us input on this!
